Wasabi Appetizer

  • 1 block Philly Cream Cheese (softened)
  • Tube of Wasabi Sauce – concentrated if you can find it
  • Sesame Seeds (toasted adds a nice touch)
  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • Rice Crackers

Roll out cream cheese between 2 pieces of plastic wrap once softened.  Roll it 1 cm thickness.  Remove the top layer of plastic wrap and add the desired amount of wasabi sauce (depends on how spicy you like your appetizer).  You could always put a thin layer on and add a side of wasabi if some of your group likes it a bit spicier.  Roll up slowly into sushi roll shape and refrigerate until ready to serve.  Toast Sesame seeds and place on serving plate.  Unroll and cover the cream cheese roll with seeds.  Pour soy sauce over the entire roll when ready to serve.  Garnish with Rice Crackers.
